High Frequency Welded Fin Tube Product Description:

Almost every combination of tube and fin material can be welded.

Solid Fins

These are attached to the tube by HF or GMAW welding. The pressure applied while winding the fin strip onto the tube may lead to a slight thinning of the fin tip. The fin foot has a width of up to 120% of the nominal fin thickness because of the compression and added filler metal.

Serrated Fins

Serrated fins are produced by slitting the fin strip equally spaced during the production process. A base 5mm (0.19) high remains unslitted to form the continuous fin foot.

When the fin strip is helically wound onto the tube the serrated part of the fin strip divides the outer end thus forming rectangular segments.

U-Shaped Finning

The serrating process as described above is applied on both sides of the fin strip after which the fins are formed with the specified fin pitch.

 High Frequency Finned Tube

High Frequency Finned Tube Manufacturing Process:

The steel fin (solid or serrated) is helical wound and continuously welded to the tube by high frequency electric resistance welding. This produces a homogeneous, clean and continuous fin-to tube bond with no additional weld material, for a very efficient heat flow and resistance to corrosion.

The welding process enables the combination of any grades for studs and tube: carbon, alloy, stainless steels and high nickel alloys. Alloy steel pipes are stress-relieved after studding, according to the relevant specifications for the class and grade of steel used.

Fin and pipes with high mechanical strength, so the tensile strength is more than 200 mpa. Both inside and outside of the tube are all made of hot dip galvanized processing.
